The book titled “Timepass is Pastime” has come out keeping mainly we the retired people though all others would derive pleasure from every paragraph/ contents. Our generation is sandwiched between old value system of respect to elders, not to argue with them et al and the changed value system of the Generation Next with emphasis more on materialistic pleasures, counting everything in monetary terms and concerns than the humane touch and empathy as a rule, albeit with few honourable exceptions. “Nuclear family” is the norm of the day and the way things are happening it is left to anybody’s guess as to what will be the new definition of the family itself. Well… the book is again a culmination of thought provoking, entertaining, informative, introspective forwards and originals that appeared in the social media I related to. WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, Google, Wikipedia and others are very powerful instruments to share and spread all type of information, videos, images and articles that are of interest to the group in the eyes of the beholder!
